To make it even easier for you to find out where garage sales are happening each weekend, egaragesales has set up a Twitter Account for each state. Each Wednesday night, I will send tweets of the garage sales that are happening on the coming weekend. You will only get tweets for garage sales in your state. Last-minute garage sale listings will be tweeted from the Thursday until the garage sale date as they are listed.

If you decide to follow one of our Twitter accounts, you will be first to know when a new garage sale is listed. And you don't even have to register or sign up. Just start following. Then unfollow when you want a break. Or follow us in another state if you're on holidays.

Remember, if you choose to follow us on Twitter, you will be first to know about those last minute ads that pop up on Fridays.

My aim is to better target the garage sale alerts so that

1. a person in Melbourne doesn't get a tweet about a garage sale in Brisbane; or 
2. if you're away and not looking for garage sales, simply unfollow us until you're ready to hunt for bargains again. You won't be bothered by unwanted alerts; or 
3. you might be in another state and decide to go looking for bargains there, so you simply follow the tweets for the state you are currently in.

There are a number of ways you could get our garage sale alerts through our Twitter Accounts:

• To follow us on Twitter in your state, click on an icon below. Sign in to your own Twitter account and select to follow us. You will get all alerts for that state automatically. This is the best method because you don't have to think about it;  OR
• Click on the Twitter icon below for your state to go to Twitter and save the URL as a favourite in your browser. Then you can simply go to our Twitter account and read all the alerts when it suits you, without signing up, logging in or following. OR
• Use Twitter Search. Each alert will have a hash tag (#) in front of the suburb e.g. #YourSuburb. This allows you to do a Twitter Search for #YourSuburb if you only want garage sale alerts in that suburb.
• And of course, it's still very easy to go to egaragesales.com.au and check Upcoming Sales.

Twitter being what it is, customers will be able to make comments about anything they would like to comment on.

Occasionally, I might post a tweet to all accounts to highlight an item that is of interest to all states. Rest assurred, though, I don't intend bombarding everyone with marketing messages. That's not the intention of putting egaragesales on Twitter.
