Garage Sale advertisement? |
| Its easy! To place a garage sale ad simply click
here. You
dont need to be a member, and you can pay via credit card,
direct deposit or money order. |
|
|
|   |
| Q2. Why can't I see
the Garage Sale's full address or the name of its owner? |
When members place their ads they can choose
not to display their full address. This way privacy is protected
whilst still giving the ad great exposure. You will note within
the ad when the full address will be displayed. eg 'Address

|   |
| Q5. What's the difference
between an 'ACTIVE' and 'LISTED' Garage Sale? |
| This question is best answered in the following
way: |
| |
| There are 3 stages a Garage Sale advertisement
goes through when listed on egaragesales.com.au. |
| |
|
| |
1) Listed Stage
Once a Garage Sale is submitted, it becomes listed. During
this stage, the Garage Sale owner's name and full address
is NOT displayed and is only completely revealed when the
sale goes Active (read below). |
| |
|
| |
2) Active Stage
A Garage Sale moves from listed to active when the address
details are shown. At this stage, the Garage Sale owner's
name and full address is made available for all to see - much
like a newspaper listing. The Garage Sale remains active until
it reaches its finish time. |
| |
|
| |
3) Closed stage
A Garage Sale moves to the closed stage when it exceeds its
finish time, at which point it is moved to our past sales
area (your name and full address is once again hidden). |
|
|
|   |
| Q6. Can I change my
ad if I want? How can I view the status of my ad? |
| You can both edit your ad and monitor its status
simply by logging in within the members section and click
on "View/Edit My Garage Sales". To login, simply type in the
email and password of which you used when you first placed
your ad. |

|
|   |
| Q7. Do I need to sign
up as a member to place an advertisement? |
| When you place your ad you specify your email
address and a password, which then allows you to return later
and make ammendments to your ad if you wish. This automatically
means that you become a member when placing your ad. Please
note that your details are always kept confidential and never
passed onto anyone else. |
|
|
|   |
| Q8. What's the difference
between a featured ad and a basic ad? |
| A Featured advertisement allows you to upload
images within your garage sale ad. Featured advertisements
give better exposure,
a more professional
look and a greater
chance at success. Basic ads are more traditional
based garage sale ads containing text only. Remember, unlike
newspapers, there are NO word count limitations. You can make
your ad as long as you wish. |
|
|
|   |
| Q9. How many images
can my Garage Sale have? |
| A. You can upload 6 images per Garage
Sale. |
|
|
|   |
| Q10. What is the maximum
size my image can be? Do I need to resize my images before
I upload them? |
| A. You can upload images of any size you desire.
So long as the filetype is either BMP, JPG, or GIF you dont
have to resize them at all. Everything is done automatically. |
|
|
|   |
| Q11. Is there any way
of knowing how many times my ad has been viewed? |
| Yes. We display a 'view count' within each garage
sale advertisement that tells you how many times the ad has
been viewed. |
