| I asked everybody how they heard about the sale.
The signs recommended on egarage sales assisted and so did the $10 ad I placed.
I placed signs in the neighbourhood and at end of the street the day before and somebody stole them.. (I had to re-do them. so check on morning of your sale to make sure signs are in place.) I wish I had organised a 2 day sale

| I spent about 4 hours pricing my items & setting up garage. Pricing everything before the sale definately saved time on the day deciding how much to sell items for.
I didnt have any early birds, sale started at 8am & I had about 10 people all arrive around 815am. Big baby items like bath, rockers etc sold straight away, baby clothes next biggest seller. Wo

| We held a short (Saturday only, 8AM-1PM) garage sale and made approx $500. We advertised on egaragesales and 3AW. We were fortunate to be on a road with good thoroughfare so had minimal signage. Customers came in spurts so it was good to have some extra bodies around to help! A crowd draws a crowd too. Price everything and be prepared to haggle.

| Our garage sale was very successful & we had so much fun organising everything the night before & getting ready for the early start to the day.
Most of the customers that showed up we asked them how they found out about our garage sale because we did also put up signs around our neighbourhood & 90% of them said through egaragesales so thank you to you for h

| Had to do a sunday as it was the only day that suited and we did really well. Sold around 3/4 of all of our goods. Only 1 earlybird and we were nearly ready as we knew we would get some so we let them in 30 mins before start time. Got haggled on price consistently and let some things go for much less than I really wanted, but at least it is gone. Be prepared

| We had a fantastic day and sold heaps! the sausage sizzle was a fantastic way to drive business too as people smelt the smells and came from streets away. The combined garage sale with 8 other families added variety and a great atmosphere to the day as well! Send a note to neighbours in your street to ask them if they are intrested in joining in a combined g

| Overall we had a great result. Sold 90% of our stuff! Didn't shift the big items (furniture & trampoline) but got rid of a lot of kids toys, clothing, bikes, garden items and could have sold 20 fishing rods!

| I had never held a garage sale and wasn't sure on the finer details. I used the checklist to help to make sure that I had done everything that I needed and bought signs and fliers.
I made sure I had helpers and filled them in on the tips from the website. My motto was that I wanted it sold and I didn't care the price, we gave discounts for multiple purcha

| Luckily no-one arrived early so it was great advice to mark on the flyers and advertisement that early shoppers were not welcome.
No one item sold more than others but the children's toys, games, football gear etc... were popular.
I had plenty of change which was needed especially $5 notes. I would suggest at least $50 worth.
We were happy to accept any p
